H1N1 Update

We continue to see many patients in our clinic with likely or possible novel H1N1 influenza (swine flu); fortunately most have had mild illness, and we've just had a few hospitalizations so far. We recently received our first 1,000 doses of novel H1N1 vaccine, so we're busy trying to get as many of our high-priority patients immunized while we try to keep up with constantly changing recommendations from the CDC and the Oklahoma State Department of Health. I suspect as soon as novel H1N1 starts to quiet down the seasonal flu season will be upon us, and we're still short of seasonal flu vaccine. We're all sure ready for next spring to arrive!
