Dr. Gales completed both a bachelor of science and a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Kansas prior to completing a clinical pharmacy residency at University Medical Center at the University of Arizona in Tucson. He worked as a staff pharmacist in Kansas before becoming a professor in the College of Pharmacy at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he has taught since 1990.
Dr. Gales holds licenses in Oklahoma and Kansas. He has received numerous awards for practice and teaching, including the Excellence in Teaching Award at Great Plains in 2003. He regularly contributes to pharmacy publications, and is active in several professional associations.
Interests: nutritional support, pharmacokinetics, ambulatory care
